Are you looking for a cool spot to sip a drink and rest your weary bones after a long day? You’re in luck! We’re experts in the Seattle happy hour scene. You see, one of the blessings of living at Cyrene is you’re in the heart of downtown; it’s probably one of the most convenient neighborhoods in the City. And, luckily, you only have to go a block or so to experience some of the most tantalizing happy hour deals the Emerald City has to offer. Consequently, we feel highly qualified to share our favorites.

1. Von’s 1000 Spirits (4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to Midnight)

When a name has “1000 Spirits” in it, you know it has to be good. Von’s has one of the largest Seattle happy hour menus ever and it doesn’t stop there. Every 30 minutes, they spin a wheel of specials. For example, $6 Moscow Mules! When it comes to bites, the sourdough pizzas tend to be everyone’s favorite. And, the major bonus for us — it’s just steps from Cyrene Apartments.

2. JarrBar (4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.; all day Sunday)

You gotta love a Seattle happy hour that happens every day. And, we gotta love that it’s a 4-minute walk away from Cyrene. Heartwood Provisions offers extremely tasty cocktails, beer, wine, and food. And, we’re not just talking about small bites; they have a Gruyère burger and New York steak on the menu!

4. Lecōsho (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., daily)

This isn’t the first time we’ve recommended Lecōsho. The happy hour menu showcases $5 wines, $4 beers, and $6 well highballs. Plus, regular menu items are offered at discounted prices. We’d say the $6 spätzle and $9 beef short ribs steal the show.

5. The Diller Room (2 p.m. to 7 p.m., daily)

How cool is a 122-year-old hotel lobby that’s turned into a dive bar called The Diller Room? The answer — super cool. And, when you add a happy hour with $4.50 draft beers and $5.50 craft cocktails — ultra cool. We’re stoked to be 3 minutes from a piece of history with a killer Seattle happy hour.

6. Elliott’s Oyster House (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday)

Right in our “backyard” is Elliott’s where happy hour is ideal for seafood lovers. Scrumptiously fresh oysters will run you $1.50 to $2, and the $4 small plates include calamari, fish tacos, and mussels. And, of course, there are wines and beers to pair with it all.

7. Chan Seattle (5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., daily)

Chan Seattle is a cozy Korean gastropub that’s excellent for family-style sharing. If there’s one thing that you must order, it’s the $6 chicken wings (named the best wings in Seattle). Then, you should add on some $6 Bulgogi and spicy pork sliders. Oh, and don’t forget to wash it down with a $7 Soju flight.

8. The Forge Lounge (3 p.m. to 7 p.m., daily)

The Forge Lounge has a delightfully divey Seattle happy hour we’re sure you’ll return to over and over again. Why? The staff is amazingly friendly and will make you feel right at home. They’ll chat you up while you try the $5 wines, and $4 wells and drafts. It’s also a spot to get a good view of the Marion Street Love Lock Bridge. You’ll feel like you’re in Paris (kind of).

9. The Bookstore Bar and Café (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., daily)

The Bookstore Bar and Café wins the award for coolest ambiance. The whole restaurant looks like — you guessed it — a bookstore. It’s a fun environment for relaxing and munching on the best $3 fish tacos, $8 jerk spiced wings, and $3 blue cheese bacon wrapped figs. The $5 beers and $7 wines aren’t bad either. What’s more, if you have little ones with you, there’s a great kid’s menu is also available.

10. Tankard & Tun (3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close, daily)
